the original was made for the movie by Bob Mackie. ive seen a whole bunch of replicas but non of them do it justice. i would try to have someone make it for me. the original was made of peach silk chiffon.

great idea the dress is beautiful. I actually just got my prom dress last weekend ( i got it early because I'm having alterations done prom is in may) i got it from this boutique its really nice its burgundy i love it.
How much are these worth?
I've been getting these collector barbies from my grandmother since I was young. The majority of them I have stored away, but these Have been in my closet since I received them. The are in excellent condition, still in the package, and only slightly dusty which i can clean easily with a quick wipe with a dry rag. Anyway here they are, i'm curious to know how much they are worth.

They are all in the original packaging and have never been removed from the box
Unfortunately the Holiday Barbies (and others) have gone WAY WAY down in value the past several years. What once sold for $100+ is now going for $20. Depressing for people who have originally bought them for future value. If I were you, I'd hold on to them longer and hope the value goes back up which I'm sure they will. With these prices, people are buying them for their kids to play with - Here are the current selling prices for these dolls:
